I should point out immediately that this is NOT AN ORIGINAL CONCEPT. In fact, it started out as an experiment to see how difficult it would be recreate this idea: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7…
The image in the link was a poster for the Berliner Philharmonic. I decided to make it a flying violin instead of a sailing one, partly because the title came to mind as soon as I started this, and second, I knew I would have a hard time producing a realistic ocean with crashing waves.
